Our new Distillery - with a breathtaking view!

Yesterday we took our Design agency Pond to Gävle for a roundtrip.

We started at our historical (!) distillery at Mackmyra Bruk were we met Hans who guided us through the process. It´s always a special feeling to wear the hairnet, the coat and the beautiful shoecovers.

Fredrik from Pond looked happy though! ;)

After a perfect guiding from Hans and a fragrance of our raw whisky continued our journey to Teknikparken for lunch and a storyguide togheter with Jonas Berg, one of the founders and the constructor of the new Gravity distillery. He told us how the idea of our own whisky village came up and how the vision became more and more real. He is a really good storyteller and the team from Pond seemed enchanted and had a lot of interesting questions. Unfortunately we were short of time otherwise we could had stayed there for a couple of hours just chatter.

Next stop was the Whisky Village were Susanne met us - she is the one who has the answers to everything about the village and also the one you always get the biggest smile in the world from! We were all thrilled to see the new Gravity distilley (I had only seen it on the webcam at this stage) and we took the temporary elevator 37 meters up in the sky - and it was high and very shaky! If you want a hint of how high up it actually was - check this video from the elevator:

When we finally were on the top the view were absolutely breathtaking!

The day ended with candy and coffee in the temporary visitor center. A beautiful day full of inspiration for the future!
